General plant strengthener in tea cultivation after conversion to organic
20 kg each of Artemisia and stinging nettle and 10 kg of Eupatorium are chopped and soaked in 200 litres of water for two weeks. Cow urine is stored and fermented separately in a plastic container. The resultant liquids are then strained and mixed. For field application the stock solution is diluted at a rate of 1:10 and sprayed every two weeks.

The plant material is mixed with the water at a rate of 1:4 and soaked for 2–7 days. The strength of the extract despends on the severity of attack.

Pound each plant finely and collect the plant juice. Mix 5–7 tablespoons of plant juice from each plant and mix with 4 litres of water. Add soap as sticker and apply; about 90% control effect.

Broad spectrum
Use 5 kg Tinospora, 25 kg fresh Gliricidia leaves, 1 kg of chillies, 10 kg tobacco leaves and 25 kg citronella grass. Chop these plant materials, put them in a drum full of water and allow to ferment for about one month. For field application, dilute one litre of this stock solution with 10–12 litres of water and add soap as sticker.
